Online Screening Tools
- Davy has selected an independent 3rd party Morningstar to provide you with information to support you in making your investment decisions. Morningstar is a market-leading provider of investment tools, in-depth information and reports, helping investors make more informed investment decisions.
- Screen and analyse thousands of shares, funds and ETFs across a wide range of criteria, all from the convenience of your Davy Direct account.
- Helping you to find investments that meet your personal investment needs.
Searches can be done quickly and easily using the Morningstar screeners. For example, you might want to view all Emerging Market Equity funds, in Euro, with a Morningstar RatingTM * of 3 stars or better and Total Net Assets of between €250 million and €1 billion. Or you might want to view all High Yield Bond funds, in US Dollars, with a Morningstar RatingTM of 5 stars and a 3-year return greater than the Category Average.
* Morningstar RatingTM is a system created by Morningstar Inc. which ranks mutual funds based on their risk-adjusted performance over various periods. A 5 star rating is the best, a 1 star rating is the worst.

Costs
An Annual Management Charge is paid to each Fund Manager for managing the investments within the fund. It is usually calculated on a daily basis and varies depending upon the specific fund. Davy reserves the right to retain a portion of the Annual Management Charge as agreed with the individual fund providers. This will not result in any additional fees payable by you. Further information is available on request. Details of all fees charged within the fund are included in the fund documentation. Investments are subject to Davy Direct commission and charges. Please click here for full information on the commissions and charges applicable to fund trading.
Risks
As with all decisions, there are risks to investing in investment funds. They include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Investors may not benefit from the same entitlements as if they held the shares directly (e.g. voting rights).
- Costs can be significant and can be difficult to define precisely. While the annual management charge may be stipulated, other charges may be less visible.
- Investors cannot control the investments that are made within the fund. This discretion is held by the Investment Manager appointed by the third party investment fund provider.
- Although a fund may be denominated in a particular currency, underlying investments may be held in other currencies and thus the fund may be subject to currency moves.
The above list is a summary. Other risks apply and it is important that you read the fund documentation for full information on the risks that apply. Further information is available from Davy Direct on request.
Warning: The value of your investment may go down as well as up. You may lose some or all of your initial invested capital
