Financial Planning Manager(Pension Specialist)

Davy is currently seeking to appoint a Financial Planning Manager, with responsibility for the provision of financial planning advice. The successful candidate will be based in our Northern Ireland Office in Donegall Square, Belfast and will work closely with the existing Portfolio Management team. The successful candidate will have a proven ability in the provision of technical advice.

Key Requirements:
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of investment products, in particular in the area of pensions and regulated life products and the tax implications of such products;
    • A minimum of five years financial planning experience within the financial services sector or equivalent;
    • A tax or accountancy qualification would be highly beneficial;
    • A strong knowledge of pensions and financial planning issues;
    • Strong client service orientation;
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written;
    • Proven team-working skills;
    • Tenacity and goal orientation;
    • High integrity and strong ethical standards;
    • FSA approved status, or appropriately qualified as defined by the FSA in the provision of financial planning advice.

    Financial Advisor - Davy Select+

    Davy is Ireland’s leading provider of stockbroking, wealth management and financial advisory services. We offer a broad range of services to private clients, small businesses, corporations and institutional investors, and organise our activities around four interrelated business areas - Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Private Clients and Research. Select+ is the Davy advisory service for clients with up to €250k of investible assets with responsibility for online and intermediary channel clients. An opportunity has arisen for a financial advisor in the Select+ division.

    Key responsibilities of this position will include:
      • Managing a large number of clients in line with investment strategy and tactics;
      • Ensuring a comprehensive Investment profile is completed and appropriate Investor Policy Statement is in place for each client;
      • Identify cross-selling opportunities and preparation of individual client proposals;
      • Provision of investment advice for suitable investment opportunities keeping in line with client needs;
      • Setting up new pension accounts with prospective clients and dealing with technical pension queries;
      • Dealing promptly and efficiently with client queries;
      • Complete up-to-date ‘financial reviews’ with existing clients, to ensure that they continue to receive the most appropriate service level in line with their Investment Strategy;
      • Pursuing leads and co-coordinating sales effort with Davy colleagues;
      • Responsibility for trade implementation including order book management.
        • Key Requirements:
            • Demonstrable knowledge of financial markets and investments;
            • Pension experience is essential, a good technical understanding of pensions and previous experience of providing pension advice to clients;
            • Keen interest in the investment process and willingness to manage a significant book of assets;
            • Target driven and proven sales experience;
            • A business related degree or be of graduate calibre;
            • Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills;
            • QFA qualification;
            • CFP or the willingness to obtain this qualification.
            • Responsibility for trade implementation including order book management.

            Regional Intermediary Channel Manager - Davy Select+

We offer a broad range of services to private clients, financial intermediaries, small businesses, corporations and institutional investors, and organise our activities around four interrelated business areas - Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Private Clients and Research. Davy operates a division within Private Clients which is responsible for business development with financial services intermediaries. A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Channel Manager position covering Dublin and the South East.

            Responsibilities of this position will include:
              • Development and management of client relationships with the intermediary broker channel in the region;
              • Ensuring a comprehensive Investment profile is completed and appropriate Investor Policy Statement is in place for each client;
              • Intermediary channel new client business development in the region;
              • Delivery of co-ordinated channel marketing campaigns to intermediaries in conjunction with Davy Select marketing;
              • Administration of contractual agreements.
              • Achievement of defined sales targets with the intermediary channel in the region.
              • Key Requirements:
                  • Over 3 year’s experience of the intermediary/broker channel in the Irish market;
                  • A clear track record of successful business development in the intermediary channel space;
                  • Demonstrable relationships with key players in the intermediary broker channel;
                  • Demonstrable knowledge of financial markets and investments;
                  • Keen interest in the investment process;
                  • Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills
                  • QFA qualification;
                  • CFP or the willingness to obtain this qualification.

                  Investment Analyst – Investment Selection Team

Our investment platform is being continuously developed and enhanced in order to ensure that we offer the most diverse range of global investment opportunities. A position has arisen for an Investment Analyst to join the Investment Selection Team within Private Clients. The Investment Analyst will work closely with the Head of Investment Selection.

                  Key Responsibilities:
                    • Source and structure new investment opportunities for clients;
                    • Develop relationships with world class investment managers;
                    • Manage the new product launch process;
                    • Manage existing products and provide on-going support;
                    • Lead internal and external product sales process;
                    • Work with HOIS to develop a world-class investment platform;
                    • Train more junior staff on new product developments.
                    • Key Requirements:
                        • A Minimum of 5 years investment experience;
                        • Fund research or structured products development experience;
                        • CFA / ACCA / FSAI preferred;
                        • Strong commercial focus;
                        • Innovative and creative;
                        • High level of energy;
                        • Excellent communication skills;
                        • Excellent business writing skills;
                        • A team player with the ability to use own initiative.
