Initial Public Offerings

Taking a company to the public markets is a transformational decision and requires a highly experienced adviser like Davy Corporate Finance to successfully execute. We have proven experience and in-depth knowledge of initial public offerings (IPOs) on both the full list and junior markets. We have completed seven IPOs since January 2006 including Smurfit Kappa, TVC, Siteserv and Boundary Capital.

Having made the decision in principle, there are many more considerations to take into account: which stock exchange, how much equity to offer, market conditions and appetite, timing, pricing and underwriting. Critical issues can arise at any time during the process and jeopardise the success of the project.

Once listed on the public markets, we work closely with companies to ensure that their shares are well marketed and understood by investors. This helps to maintain a strong aftermarket and ensure secondary placings are well executed.

In addition to initial public offerings we help our clients to raise capital through secondary offerings (rights issues, open offers, vendor placings) and advise on other capital reorganisations including share buybacks.
